I'm probably missing something here, but is it just white above the line when the slope is positive and black above the line when the slope is negative? (For the left of course, and then opposite rule for the right)

Black is shaded in the area formed above a negative line or below a positive line vs Black is shaded in the area formed below a negative line or above a positive line.
