you take the figure at the top, split it in half and rotate it 90 degrees, so the next item is the square with a veritcal line through the middle. Additionaly the rotation goes to the left but it dpesnt realy matter with the square lol.

if given rectangle is 2 length and 1 height, solution rectangle is 1 length and 4 height and middle horizontal line that splits it into half is also there, just like in a case of a circle and equilateral triangle

No offense, but why would the answer be a rectangle? Almost all other shapes has been cut uniformly via its axis of symmetry and the half of the size is present. Why wouldn't that be the case for the rectangle to just form a simple square half the length of the rectangle? If it was just a horizontal line then the combined trapezium would show it, but it didnt.

It's about constructing, not cutting. Mirroring around bottom edge after rotation. It just happens to be that trapezium bottom edge is under an angle and rest are horizontal.
