26, the pattern is 2(1st+2nd+ ... +(n-1)th - nth) (i assumed it can extend to the the words or sequecnes of words that have more than 4 letters, so we just add the values of all the letters (A=1, B=2 and so on) and substract the last one, fourth one or every fouth one, both make sense given the invofmation but it seems to work only on sequences of 4 letters so 2 times the first 3 added minus the 4th is probbaly valid)
