Each question will be timed 45 seconds per item. Work carefully.
No external aids (notes, scratch paper, drawing tools, etc.) are allowed.

Your objective is to count the total number of blocks in each figure.
Please note the following important rules:
All blocks have the same shape and size in each figure.
Gravity applies, so there can be no empty space beneath any part of a block.
You must find the arrangement that satisfies the above and requires the least amount of blocks.

Note that one block is hidden underneath the far back block.

Note that one block is hidden behind the bottom right block, as the upper right block cannot be floating without support.

This arrangement is not valid, because the middle part of the top block is not supported by
anything beneath it. Remember, there can be no empty space beneath ANY part of a block, so an arrangement
like this will never appear on the test.
